Through the use of hand-drawn emoji-like illustrations, this design showcases the uniqueness of each grape, creating an emotional connection with customers.

Unique Me stands out from the competition in the highly competitive fresh fruit market in China. While other packaging designs rely on plain photos and illustrations depicting the fruit or farm landscapes, Unique Me takes a bold and innovative approach. By personifying the grapes, the design captures the attention of consumers and invites them to explore the distinct qualities of each grape.

The hand-drawn emoji-like illustrations are the heart of Unique Me. Each grape is depicted as a unique individual, with its own looks, thoughts, characters, and gestures. The design process for Unique Me involved a talented team of individuals. Led by designer Yanxing Lai and Shixian Qiu, the team also included 3D rendering expert Kai Chen and Creative Director VJ Pan. Their collective expertise and creativity brought the concept to life, resulting in a packaging design that is both visually striking and conceptually engaging.

Unique Me was developed in Shenzhen, China, with the project commencing in April 2020 and concluding in May 2021. The final product was introduced to the Chinese market in June 2021, where it quickly gained attention and acclaim.

Agilis Design Graphic Design faced several challenges during the creation of Unique Me. The fresh fruit market in China is saturated with packaging designs featuring plain photos and illustrations. To stand out from the competition, the team had to think outside the box and find a unique approach that would capture the essence of the grapes and resonate with consumers.

Unique Me has received recognition for its outstanding design. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2022. This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving the quality of life. Unique Me embodies these qualities, making it a true testament to the power of innovative design.
